Australian birds in a changing landscape: 220 years of European colonisation

Cambridge Press’s long awaited book ‘Birds and Habitat: Relationships in Changing Landscapes, edited by Robert Fuller has just been published. We contributed a chapter to this book ‘Australian birds in a changing landscape: 220 years of European colonisation’.  Drawing on the rich literature on bird ecology and conservation in Australia we summarise the key learnings about the influence of landscape change on Australian bird fauna in light of their distinct evolutionary history.
